We take pride in providing an enjoyable environment of exceptional care for our patients. We listen to our patients and go the extra mile to provide personalized service in all aspects of orthodontic treatment.
Here are just some of the reasons why Stafford Orthodontics is the perfect choice for your orthodontic needs:
- Dr. Stafford is an orthodontic specialist.
Orthodontists require an additional two years of orthodontic training after dental school. Doctors who have completed the extra training from an accredited program are eligible to become members of the American Association of Orthodontists. Dr. Stafford’s practice provides orthodontic treatment exclusively.
- Dr. Stafford is board certified.
Dr. Stafford is certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. Requirements for certification include completion of rigorous study, a written examination, and a clinical examination. This accomplishment is attained by only a small group of orthodontists across the country.
- We speak with parents at each appointment.
Dr. Stafford spends one-on-one time with each patient, and either she or a team member speaks with the parent at every appointment. Because parents play a role in supervising their child’s treatment and oral hygiene care, it is essential to Dr. Stafford to keep them updated on their child’s treatment progress.
- We present the best options and educate our patients.
Because we are dedicated to clinical excellence, our staff explains the best treatment options and educates our patients to maximize the final result. We take time to listen to your concerns and preferences in order to develop a treatment plan that meets your needs and desires.
- Placement of braces is done by our doctor!
Placement of braces is the most vital step in orthodontic treatment. Each bracket must be placed with precision in order for treatment to be effective. When braces are placed properly, optimal results are achieved easier and faster. Orthodontic assistants are not trained or licensed to place braces on the teeth.
- It is our policy not to re-use braces.
Braces are intended for a single use; therefore, we never recycle bands or brackets. It is our policy that each patient should be provided with his or her own braces to achieve the best orthodontic result possible. Used braces show the effects of wear and tear, which decreases their effectiveness.
- We use X-rays to monitor your treatment.
During treatment, there are changes that may occur and go unnoticed without an X-ray. Therefore, we take panoramic X-rays before, during, and after treatment to check for signs of root resorption, root and wisdom tooth positioning, and the supporting bone around the teeth.
